The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Cameroon, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallé Bibehe, and the Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, paid separate visits to our Chairman of the Board at Turkish Chamber of Shipping, Tamer Kıran, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Tamer Kıran first welcomed the Minister of Transport of Cameroon, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallé Bibehe, and his delegation at the headquarters of our Chamber.

Board Member İsmail Görgün also attended the visit.

During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in developing maritime, port, and logistics infrastructure in Cameroon were discussed. Within the framework of Türkiye’s strong maritime education infrastructure, concrete cooperation topics were evaluated, including Cameroonian students receiving education at maritime faculties in Türkiye to strengthen maritime education in Cameroon.

Our Chairman later hosted the Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport of Somalia, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur.

During this visit, opportunities for cooperation in maritime and port activities between the two countries were discussed.
