Chairman of the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, Tamer Kıran, received the U.S.-Turkiye Business Conference (ATBR) Delegation on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

During the visit, which took place at the Chamber’s Headquarters, Tamer Kıran met with Delegation Head Retired General James Jones, Directors Rich Outzen and Melikşah Göncüoğlu, to discuss cooperation opportunities for the Turkish maritime sector in the United States.

Also in attendance were Board Member Orhan Gülcek, Assembly Member Metin Düzgit, Rector of Piri Reis University (PRU) Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca, PRU Board of Trustees Member Dr. Özkan Poyraz, Chairman of the Ship, Yacht and Services Exporters’ Association (GYHİB) Cem Seven, and Board Member of the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GİSBİR) Nurettin Çalışkan.
