Tamer Kıran, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Shipping and Vice President of TOBB, who is in the United States together with the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, continued his engagements on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

As part of the program, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Tamer Kıran met with U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce William Kimmitt. During the meeting, Türkiye–U.S. economic and trade relations were discussed.

Hisarcıklıoğlu and Kıran also met with Bryant Trick, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) official responsible for Europe and the Middle East, who coordinates negotiations on the United States’ international trade, commodities, and foreign direct investment policies. They evaluated the obstacles to Türkiye–U.S. trade and the steps that need to be taken.

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Tamer Kıran discussed joint areas of cooperation to enhance Türkiye–U.S. trade and investment relations in a meeting with Suzanne P. Clark, President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Tamer Kıran also attended a working lunch with members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
