The 2nd Green Transformation in Maritime Summit Organized by Our Chamber
The “2nd Green Transformation in Maritime Summit,” organized by Turkish Chamber of Shipping, was held on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Piri Reis University.
The summit was attended by Salih Tan, Director General of Shipyards and Coastal Structures at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure; Mustafa Bankaoğlu, Director General of Coastal Safety; Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca, Rector of Piri Reis University; our Assembly Chairman Başaran Bayrak; members of our Board of Directors; our Branch Chairpersons; our Professional Committee Chairpersons; our Assembly Members; representatives of public institutions; representatives of the maritime sector; academics; and invited guests.
At the summit, three sessions were held under the headings “Maritime Transportation,” “Shipbuilding and Ports,” and “Alternative Energy Sources.”
In addition, informative presentations were delivered on “Strategies for a Carbon-Free Future in Maritime within the Framework of International Regulations,” “The Intersection of Digitalization and Green Transformation: Smart Maritime Applications,” and “Maritime in Global Climate Change.”
Moderators and panelists who attended the meeting were presented with certificates for tree planting donations made in their names by our Chamber to the Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion, Reforestation, and the Protection of Natural Assets.
